Attention to attention 2; Towards an attention-oriented view and an open basic attitude

Why do people go into fighting mode when they think that their beliefs are under attack? Why do we often find following rules more important than people's well-being, inclusive our own? How can we kill in the name of a religion? Is man destructive by nature? I do not think so. I think there is a biological reason that has everything to do with the way we use our attention.

In this article, I will show you an attention-oriented view by which we can better understand the relationship between attention, imagination, and our fight, flight, and freeze behaviour. After the translation of this theory to social circumstances, I want to delve a little deeper into the destructive 'side effects' of imagination and Focus-attention and close with the way I think we can limit our destructive behaviour.

Attention to attention 3: Three forms of attention guide us through life

In this article I want to further clarify the relationship between attention and life by comparing it to the relationship between force and matter. A great deal of research has been done into the relationship between force and matter and it appears that different kinds of force are needed to explain the existence, properties and behaviour of matter. So I think it is only reasonable to assume that different kinds of attention are needed to explain people's existence, properties and behaviour.

In the two previous articles about attention I wrote about Focus-attention and Broad attention. Each with its own functionality in life and influence on our body. In this article I introduce Life attention.
